
Threads of Us offers an intentional space to reconnect: with yourself, your community, and your roots.
Participants will:

Build relationships across generations and experiences

Explore storytelling through creative practices like photography, theater and music and interactive activities including sports and games – and more!

Share conversation and meals rooted in culture and care

Help shape a new model for South Asian community joy and wellbeing in NYC
No experience needed. Just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore together!

Who Can Participate

South Asian New Yorkers, ages 16+
-
Open to all gender identities, generations, and backgrounds
-
No prior creative or wellness experience required
-
You may join individually or with family and friends; what matters most is openness to connect
What to Expect
Each session offers a lens on storytelling through a blend of creative expression, activity, wellbeing practices, and community dialogue. You may expect engaging in:

Storytelling circles

Photography
-
Theater-based workshops
-
Culturally-rooted games and sports
-
Collaborative art and/ or visual journaling

Recipe sharing
-
Care-centered grounding and reflection
-
A final exhibit or showcase celebrating participant stories. You’ll have the opportunity to share in a way that feels natural and authentic to you.
